What I Want to Share Through Freediving
Profile:
Born in Tokyo in 1984. I have loved water since I was little and was in the swimming club when I was a student.
I also have a strong interest in food, and I majored in nutrition at a university. After graduating, I worked in the pharmaceutical industry for a while.
What is more, I have lived in Australia, Hong Kong, and Indonesia., the experience greatly changed my personality and sense of values.
After returning to Tokyo, I continued traveling in various countries, mainly in Asia and took my first freediving course in the Philippines in 2017. I immediately fell in love and was fascinated by the world of the ocean where silence and peace spread. Since then, I have trained in freediving in Asia and qualified as an instructor in Bali in 2019.
I was originally planning to teach freediving in Bali in 2020, but the plan was abandoned due to COVID-19. While traveling in Japan in search of the ocean, I landed on Amami Oshima for the first time. The beauty of the ocean and the comfort of living on the island matched my ideal life, so I decided to move here.
Now, I am based in Amami Oshima, I support connecting people and the ocean through freediving here.
Message:
For us humans, the “ocean” is an irreplaceable existence.
The “ocean” supports a lot of life on the earth.
I want to tell the splendor and preciousness of the ocean.
I want to share the peace of being surrounded by the ocean and the beauty of the underwater world.
That is why I started AMAMI Freediving.
I will support you in learning how to dive safely and enjoyably and have a wonderful underwater experience.
Look forward to diving with you all!
